Flapjack Recipe   
On your Mountain Adventure day we have a flapjack snack to give you lots of energy. If you would like to make some at home for your family, here is the recipe


Makes 8 pieces approx

You need a tin 25 x 20cm


115g (4oz) butter or margarine
115g (4oz) caster sugar
85g (3oz) golden syrup
225g (8oz) rolled oats
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup sultanas, chopped dates and chopped cherries
(you can use any mix of dried fruit)

Preheat oven to 180C / Gas 4 and line tin with baking paper

Melt the butter/margarine, sugar and syrup together. Stir in the oats. chopped
dried fruits and vanilla essence and bake for 25 minutes. Do not overcook.

Cut into portions and lift from the tin while still warm.

Enjoy!
